Is there such a thing as an unconditional right?

All we have is privilege. Some privileges that get priority over other privileges, such as those codified in constitutions, and different people are given different ones at different times. There is only one reason that we enjoy the "rights" we have now - the powers that be haven't yet decided that they should be stripped from us by force, and in the interest of their own security and comfort.
