How does the sun look to the human eye from outside earths atmosphere?

I would like sources to please. Supposedly the sun does not shine the same way it appears here on earth. Also could a star exist next to the sun and we not see it? Like on a light wavelength unknown to us. A frequency so high it is undetectable beyond comprehension
