How to get my ty beanie baby's fur back to stright after dried in the dryer?

My dog was chewing on my favorite TY beanie baby when i wasn't home, it had black stuff on her so i put her in the wash. Then i DRIED her in the dryer... I regret doing that because now her fur is puffy.. I tried putting her in a pillow case and puting her back in the wash but her hair is still puffy! I even tried brushing her fur. It always goes back to puffy! PLEASE HELP she was my BEST friend! :'(
