that was a lot of reading, but tank you for all of it so we can get a better idea of the situation. Firstly, you are not wrong for feeling anything, you can't help or control who you fall for. He has obviously been a huge influence in your life and has stood by you in good and bad, seen you at your worst as you have done for him. It would be a great basis for a relationship, but you have to look at what he is doing, being with one girl, then as soon as she's not there acting like it is nothing. How can you be sure that if you did get together and things got serious he wouldn't run the other way into the arms of another woman telling her that it is't serious and that you are to needy and clingy? What would happen to your friendship then? I'm sorry to say, but don't go there with him, it sounds more like the two of you are just so familiar, it's easier for you to think it's love and it probably feels like that to you, but he is a player, and so that you don't lose his friendship, keep it as friends. I hope that helps, but if you feel different, just ignore what i say and look into your heart, the answer lies within.
