Giant-co g10 scooter help?

I have a giant-co G10 scooter i bought it from a trusted dealer and the bike has been fab for 4 months but as soon as i get to 30mph a rev limiter kicks in like in a car and i need to be going a little faster to keep up with traffic iv checked my cdi and there is only 4 wires going to it and i cant find out how to remove this limiter if anyone knows please help i know this scooter is an import but its a good import unlike that other crap out there and would strongly recommend it its fast of the line and have beaten a few European scooters and it looks ace ( for a scooter that is ) and it always starts unlike a few other scooters but this rev limiter is annoying and it wasts fuel because its putting loads in but the limiter stops it from igniting please can you help because staying at 30mph on a 40 + mph road is quite dangerous and most of all the limiter is frustrating thanks for taking your time to read this post and for you help.
